Los Angeles - October 10, 2010: The Wellness Inventory Certification Training has been approved for 42 Continuing Coaching Education Units (CCEs) by the International Coach Federation (ICF), the leading global organization dedicated to advancing the coaching profession by setting high professional standards, providing independent certification, and building a network of credentialed coaches. The first level of the training was originally approved by CCEs by the ICF in 2006.
"We are very pleased to have the ICF's approval for our Certification Training, as it provides a valuable seal of approval regarding the quality of the education for new and existing coaches," according to Jim Strohecker, CEO of HealthWorld Online, and co-creator of the Certification Training. "Not only can ICF certified coaches receive continuing coach education credits (CCEs) by completing the training, but those seeking to be certified as coaches but the ICF can apply the the 28 hours towards portfolio certification."
"We have also established a strategic relationship with the Institute for Life Coach Training who will credit the 28 hours of the training towards their Accredited Coach Training Program (ACTP). This provides the coach-specific training to meet the ICF credentialing requirements," continues Strohecker.

The goal of the training, which uses the Wellness Inventory as a philosophical foundation and organizing principle, is to develop competence in delivering the program to both individual, group, and organizational clients. The training is delivered on two levels. Level I, the Wellness Inventory Certification Training, is a 14-week class via live phone teleconference, the training also includes weekly buddy coaching sessions, awareness exercises, and a written proficiency portfolio. Level I is approved for 28 CCEs by the ICF. Level II, the 7-week Holographic Coaching Practicum, is approved for 14 CCEs by the ICF, and focuses on further developing one's coaching core competencies in coaching client around the Wellness Inventory's whole person model and holographic change process.
The Wellness Inventory is an online assessment and life-balancing tool that focuses on the whole person in 12 key dimensions of wellness. Participants in the training gain proficiency in working with clients with the 12 part Wellness Wheel (representing the Wellness Energy System).
Ongoing exploration of the Wheel as a dynamic hologram of interdependent elements, helps to develop greater coherence in one's personal life and teaches one how to use the Holographic Change Process in their coaching to facilitate greater coherence in their clients' lives.
Participants also learn strategies for using the Wellness Inventory as an organizing principle for wellness programs that can be implemented in various markets - corporate wellness, hospitals, universities, wellness centers, integrative medicine centers, and spas. This will include strategies for integrating the Wellness Inventory, coaching, and workshops to support creating a "culture of wellness" in organization, and to foster a positive outcome for participants.
"Graduates of the training have had very positive experiences," says Strohecker, "and many report it being transformational on both a personal and professional level. The
testimonials from our graduates reflect this very clearly. We are very pleased to be contributing to creating a culture of wellness in the United States and globally. We now have graduates from 19 countries, including Canada, Bahamas, England, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Sweden, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Egypt, Abu Dhabi, Australia, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, India, and China. Many are doing innovative work in their own countries now. It is truly a global phenomenon."
